Teams and squads
Put a name right, keep a squad up to date, and clear out what you no longer play. A name changed here is changed on every report that carries it, so last season does not end up under two spellings.

Squad
The same person, in a second squad — not a copy. Their reports, their year of birth and their name stay one whole. The shirt number is per team, so this squad can give them their own.

Worth knowing
- A squad is a shortcut, not a statement. Which team somebody played for belongs to the MATCH, not to the person: a report carries both the player and the team, so next week they can play somewhere else and nothing here needs changing. When you start a match you can pick anybody in the club — a squad just puts the likely dozen at the top of that list. You never have to keep one up to date.
- Somebody can be in several squads. Their name is the person's and changes everywhere at once; the shirt number belongs to each team on its own.
- Remove takes somebody out of this team. The person, their reports and every other squad they are in are left alone. If that was their last team and no report is about them, you are asked once whether to remove them from the club as well.
- A team can be switched off instead of deleted. It leaves every list and every match setup, and the reports stay exactly as they were — for a team you met once, three seasons ago. Deleting a team only works when its squad is empty and no report points at it.
- Renaming reaches the reports. The name is copied onto each report when it is scouted, so a rename goes and fetches those copies. Stats groups by name, and half a season under each spelling is worse than a typo.
